Learn more about my story

Each of our lives tell a story. We can be defined by our business, our lifestyle and even our passions. In the end, every one of our stories are unique and set us apart from the crowd.

So what’s my story?
My name is Jimmy Watson and I was born and raised in Northern Nevada. Growing up, I found creative outlets through projects at school and documenting summers on the lake and winters in the mountains from behind the lens of a video camera.

After high school, I earned a degree in Journalism with an Advertising focus from University of Nevada, Reno. During my time at UNR, I was honored to be a member of the Reynolds School of Journalism Integrated Marketing Communications team for the AAF National Student Advertising Competition as well as being awarded two Gold Student Addy awards by AAF Reno for my creative work.

I started my professional career in an agency setting working with documentary projects, copywriting and web design. Later, I moved into an account management role, responsible for a number of local and national clients.

Fast forward to today - I serve as the Media & Design Manager and primary Graphic Designer for the Bonanza Casino and award-winning Cactus Creek Prime Steakhouse. With graphic design responsibilities ranging from digital to print, video and motion graphics, outdoor to direct mail pieces, I enjoy the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and support the vision and strategy of our close-knit marketing team. Outside of my time at the Bonanza, I feel extremely fortunate to work with other local businesses, non-profits and event organizers when it comes to their graphic design and advertising needs. That’s where Watson Branding & Design comes in…

Whether it’s a new logo, digital graphic design, copywriting or just a conversation on where to start with your marketing strategy, Watson Branding & Design is a full service solution to walk alongside of you when it comes to your advertising needs. Contact me today to learn more.

Thanks for listening to my story, I look forward to helping you tell yours.

-Jimmy
